About the Show
Bestselling thriller writer, Alan Wake, suffers from a two-year long stretch of writer's block. He and his wife Alice travel to the small rural town of Bright Falls, Washington for a short vacation, hoping to recover his creative flow. Alan and his wife stay at a cabin on Cauldron Lake where he soon begins to find pages of a book, written by him, that he doesn't remember writing. The events written on these pages, called the dark presence, begin to come to life right before his eyes and shortly after this begins to happen, Alan's wife Alice is threatened by these events. Alan must do everything he can to save his wife and stop the Darkness.
