Halloween 2009

Last Halloween was pretty wild. I went to a crazy party with my sister and we had a blast. I wish we would have stayed longer, but for what it was, it was pretty cool. Check it out :)

Trip to West Palm Beach, Florida!

Last summer I was invited to come visit some of my family in West Palm Beach, Florida. I filmed the entire trip :)

Halo: Reach Multiplayer Beta

I'm not much of a Halo fan, and I don't even have a 360, but for all of you out there who are fans of the series, G4 recently posted a video of their exclusive Halo: Reach multiplayer beta. It looks pretty cool given that I don't really like Halo lol. Check out the exclusive video here. Enjoy!

Boost Mobile gets Sanyo SCP-2700 in Blue & Pink

sanyo_juno_scp2700_boost_mobile
I was browsing the Boost Mobile website today and noticed that they have picked up two more Sanyo CDMA phones formerly exclusive to Sprint. Well, really only one more phone, but it's available in two colors making it two separate phones. The once-exclusive-to-Sprint Sanyo SCP-2700, in blue and pink, is being available for Boost Mobile's newly (re)launched CDMA Unlimited service. The Boost versions will come with some exclusive changes, but not many. For starters, Boost is calling it the Sanyo Juno instead of the SCP-2700, but nonetheless its the same phone. The biggest change is the name, but other than the that, the blue Sanyo Juno will have an orange accent color on the numeric keys and to highlight the second function of each key on the full QWERTY keyboard, instead of lime green like the Sprint version. Other than that, this is the same exact phone as the SCP-2700 for Sprint as Boost continues to release formerly-exclusive Sprint phones. Still not a bad thing though, at only $99 new, the Sanyo Juno, in blue or pink, makes a great basic messaging phone for anyone looking for just that.
This is more of a first look then review and I will not be formally reviewing this phone as I still have my eyes on the Sanyo Incognito for Boost.

Game Over

I was watching various stop motion animation videos on YouTube and I got the urge to make my own so today I got my camera ready, made me some props, and began to plan my first ever stop motion animation. Just over two hours later my animation was ready to be put together and after all the finishing touches, it comes in at just under fourty seconds. Enjoy!

Lin Yu Chun Singing Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You"

This kid is pure tallent at it's fullest. If you haven't yet heard someone talking about him, or a story about his performance on the news, let me tell you about Lin Yu Chun. He's a Chinese boy that can really belt out a good note or two. He was recently on a Chinese singing competetion show where he sung Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You". To my surprise, he was actually really good and it sounds a lot like Whitney herself. Lin Yu Chun is a name you should remember because his talent is a true gift from God and shows that there is tallent everywhere, even in the most unlikely places. Another Susan Boyle success story for sure. Enjoy the video!

Heavy Rain Nude Shower Scene

So many know that Heavy Rain contains two scenes where you must assist your character in taking a shower. Although controversial, these scenes have been done in a very tasteful way and only take up a small portion of the game. Below are censored images of the shower scene with Madison. Sorry guys, just Google the scene for the uncensored pics, but you get the idea. On the technical side, these scenes are most interesting because of how the characters interact with the other objects such as towels, clothing, etc. The characters actually take off their clothes which are placed over their body instead of texture mapped to them. They dry themselves off with the towel, holding it and maneuvering with little or no indication of collision detection issues. In the past, any collision detection of this sort was a huge problem and was very hard if not impossible to pull off, but with the power of today's consoles *cough* PlayStation 3, and Heavy Rain, it is very possible and looks great.

Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition is AWESOME :-)

I recently bought Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition for the PS3 and have been really impressed with it. It's a ton of fun and a great game overall for anyone, but especially RE fans! The addition of online co-op makes it perfect because I thought Resident Evil 4 was impossible to play and the fifth installment is no easier, but with addition of that second player in co-op is makes it a lot easier! When you start a new game you are able to choose how you want the co-op or if you want it at all with three options: anyone can join, invite only, or no co-op. I highly recommend you choose the first option, especially for first-timers like myself, because that second player really comes in handy especially in some of the game's tough spots like boss battles and areas with high amounts of Majini. The storyline is great and keeps you on the edge of your seat and not just because a majority of cut scenes contain quick time events or QTEs.

The awesomeness doesn't stop there. That's just the main game itself. When you add all the extras that are included with Gold Edition, the game gets even better. Out of the box, Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition comes with two extra episodes, Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape, which are like separate games in themselves. Along with the two extra episodes is a new mini game, Mercenaries Reunion, that improves on the original. In this mini game you can play as some of the original characters like Barry Burton and Rebecca Chambers, from the first Resident Evil game. Aside from two extra episodes and an additional mini game, Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition includes two new modes: versus and team deathmatch as well as new costumes for Chris and Sheva.

Overall I would say this game is great and it's diffidently worth picking up if you've never played the original release. However, the extra content is available as DLC if you do not have Gold Edition so I recommend if you already have the original release and want to check out the extras, to download them separately as you wish instead of getting Gold Edition. Good luck and I hope this little review helps you in your decision whether or not to get Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition.

Verizon iPhone by June 2010?

verizon_wireless_apple_iphone_4G
Apple's exclusive contract with AT&T is rumored to expire sometime this year and everyone is speculating that the hugely popular iPhone will be picked up by wireless giant, Verizon as early as June 2010. This is a big deal because Verizon is the nation's largest, most reliable wireless network and the iPhone is by far the most popular cell phone since the Motorola RAZR lol.
Anyway, it is also rumored that AT&T has asked for an extension on their contract with Apple until 2011. Either way, with AT&T being Verizon's main competitor, it is highly likely that Verizon would want to take the only thing, in my opinion, that's keeping AT&T alive.
I personally have considered getting an iPhone, but have held off on doing so because it's been exclusive to AT&T and I know their network sucks. That and with having my $50 unlimited Boost Mobile account, I'm not really fond of signing a contract and paying twice as much :) lol.
